Canyons equal two producers/DJs Leo Frostwave and Fred Cherry.

As influenced and inspired by soul, hippy stuff and psych rock as they are by disco and early house, Canyons write music that sounds just as good in the club as it does on your sailboat.

Live instruments are combined with drum machines, percussion, analogue effects, vocals and samples to create a sound that is refreshing, relevant and all their very own. Canyons’ first record ‘the Lovemore EP’, released on their own label Hole in the Sky in May this year caused quite a stir amongst the upper echelon of international club DJ’s. With plays from the likes of DJ Harvey, Todd Terje, Tim Sweeney, Lovefingers, Aeroplane, DJ Spun, 40 Thieves and New York’s Cosmo Baker.

Only a few short months later and the Canyons sound is back by demand, with remixes for artists such as Ladyhawke, Tame Impala and Lost Valentinos, 40 Theives. With an album in the pipelines and a string of 12” releases scheduled for release on some nice labels in the Us and Europe in coming months.. as well as a live show soon to be tested out on an unsuspecting public somewhere.

Canyons Dj sets are a good good time, only the good stuff - period – so tell your mum you wont be home til the morn but if she could have breakfast on the go for 9 or 10am it'd be most appreciated
