FORESHORE ROCKS THE PARLIAMENTARY TRIANGLE! EVENT PHOTOS ARE UP!

Foreshore Summer Music Festival 2010 welcomed in the start of summer with a plethora of awesome artists delivering fantastic performances in one of Australia’s best festival locations! The new event site proved to be a big success, offering more room for friends and no stage restrictions.  Each stage delivered new levels of production and amazing performances by Tiesto and The Temper Trap, just to name a few!

The sell out crowd travelled from all over Australia to see local, national and international artists perform in the Parliamentary Triangle of the nation's capital, making Foreshore the largest festival of it's kind in the ACT.

A big thank you to everyone who attended Foreshore 2010 with such a positive and fun attitude. It was you who made the day so memorable. Many of the international and national performers made mention of the amazing crowds they were privileged to perform for in the ACT. It was great to see so many music lovers come together and enjoy a day of sun, fun and great music.

FORESHORE  - THE EVENT

The new Hi-Top stage saw dance heavyweights Tiesto, Luciano, Afrojack, Benny Benassi, The Stafford Brothers, The Only, Yolanda Be Cool and more play to a hugely responsive crowd!  Local acts Cheese, Offtapia, Sean Kelly & Peekz showed why the deserved their spot alongside these great names by delivering electrifying performances.

The finest and number one exponent of the Dutch trance scene, Tiesto played a two hour set of old and new material alike, full of hits, bangers and loved music while onlookers and listeners danced up a frenzy!

Another Dutch superstar shone through when Afrojack performed an almighty set, and then again for those lucky fans when he made an unexpected appearance at the Academy after-party. The Only did what they always do, brought the party!

The Kicks stage opened to a frenzy of amazing local talent - Fun machine, Ashley Feraude, Jared de Veer and Sydney producer Cassian. Then Calvin Harris and Major Lazer drew the crowds to front of the stage where they unleashed a mixture of their popular songs.

Young guns Tim & Jean positively changed the vibe of the Kicks Stage with the unique sounds of their Indy synth-pop tunes.  Miami Horror followed performing disco-pop hits from their new album Illumination. The stand out Miami Horror song for the crowd was Sometimes, as the crowd lifted to every word.

Art vs Science opened with their new track Finally see our way and got the crowed standing on their toes when they performed their basey hit track Magic Fountain. Following this with Friend in the field, Parlez Vous Francais and finished up with festival favourite Hollywood.

Special mention must be made to Chris Fraser and MC Adam Zae as even a fly away beachball (which shut Chris Fraser's laptop ultimately stopping all the music on the Kicks stage) couldn't stop the boys from rocking the stage at every changeover!

Amazing muso’s Cut Copy wowed the crowd with the performance of new releases Take me Home and Where I’m going! But old tunes Hearts on fire and Light and Music from their previous album Bright like Neon Love were the crowd favourites. Multi-ARIA award-winning band The Temper Trap were a stand out performance on the Kicks stage, drawing thousands of Foreshore fans to watch the magical performance of their album Conditions. The perfect day was ended in style with a spine tingling rendition of the Temper Trap biggest hit Sweet Disposition!

The new Block Party stage was a huge hit delivering some heavy-base tunes, quality hip-hop and some serious MC's. Hip hop heavyweights Pharoahe Monch and Jean Gray brought an energy to the stage and the bouncing hands atSimon Says was a vibe not matched the rest of the day. Krafty Kuts as always delivered a set laden with serious party beats special mention must be made to locals Peking Duk & Raw City Rukus who stole the show early on in the day.

Local heros Koolism delivered as always and Diafrix won many new fans with their first festival appearance in Canberra.  D’Opus & Roshambo proved why they are some of Canberra’s best musicians with a great performance backed by new editions to their live elements

Skin & Bones proved their deservance of the opening slot at Foreshore and Red Bull DJ Jamie Vale showed why he's is the top man with an electrifying DJ set! DJ Just 1, Dj Rush, Kodak and Omar Musa as always keep the party bouncing and at the end of the day Caspa & MC Rod Azlan delivered a bass heavy set to send fans home bouncing!
